A Letter To My Mysterious Followers

Why so many followers, but so little readers?

Ten years ago maybe I would have had even more followers

Dear you all,

I joined Medium probably even before it was a thing. When I joined perhaps in 2017, I had no idea that I could get money from here.

I joined because I was excited that other people could actually read what I had to say! People could get to know my thoughts, my opinions!

How exciting, I thought!

Then life moved on and I had little time to visit medium or, let alone, write in here.

Then, something changed. I returned to Medium and then I saw that I could actually make some dollars out of my articles!

Hurray!

I did something stupid then. I wanted a fresh new start and I deleted my account with stories that had gathered more than 6k views . However I had no idea what that meant! I had some poorly written articles there and I wanted to move on!

Do you want to ear something weird? I have never needed to have 100 followers to enter the MPP. I started getting money even with my first article and I had probably only 20 followers.
