Exactly, but in a way we, Portuguese and Europeans were the ones to blame... we took Christianity everywhere, spread it, and it seems it took different forms ( very different) from the "european" origins... Now pretty much society is quite secular., unlike Brazil. And Yes so many brazilians kept saying "shopping in Miami" and always felt puzzled about it... but then I got it.
