Hello Sharon, thank you for your comment. It's true, social media is definitely ruining kids but I always wonder about the role of adults on this. I am too aware about the dangerous of all of this and anytime I am with my niece who is eight years old and fortunately doesn't have a phone (yet) , I try not to even touch my phone unless someone calls me. But my mother is just absorbed by the whole digital world, and so many of her age are too ( at least here, she's 56). I really miss her, or her former self...

When meeting with a good friend of mine, she is recently divorcied with two small kids, and one of the things she said that ruined her marriage was the day her husband bought a smartphone. He is a smart man, with a superior degree, but became hooked on the gadget, neglecting parenting, neglecting honestly everything. She said he looked like a zombie because of Facebook and other social media websites.

It may be ironic venting out here since Medium it's, in a way, also one. But I still know I'm writing right now because I am alone. It's quite sad that so many people are being affected by techonology that it is ending marriages or like other writers said, killing people with stupid challegings.
