I am on the opposite idea here. Those 4 books have become one of my favourite ones. I could see myself so much in those words, it's weird. But I can't see the word being written in English, for me it would lose the whole heart of the story. Italian, like any romance language, has long sentences, unlike English where everything is cut short. I love the series 'Amica Geniale'. But her other novels I'm trying to learn how to like them. I still prefer the Lina and Lenu stories though.
