I should write another article, when I have more time as now I'm writing something for College and it's kind of killing me ( again, I'm writing about the USA )... But, and here comes the kick for a next article, I get it why it's important the ethnicities, and I was scandalized upon knowing that some ethniticies have special places when applying to College, and I, who think of my as a Leftist ( and I am ), I thought at first this was a very right-wing thing to do, because all I saw was discrimination. Then I learnt about Critical Race Theory and I got it but not without some "but this and but that". Still, I wrote on my thesis that in the USA, everybody is Something-American, African-American, Asia-American, Latino-American, but not those who defined themselves as whites, and whose ancestry come from Europe. No, these are naturally American, making it believe that white is the norm and everybody else just deviates from this norm. Perhaps the only ones who deserved American were the natives, but even those are Native-Americans. I know that all those people would even go against me, saying how proud they are of their ethnicity and how it must be there because they have been oppressed for such a long time. And I'm not stupid, I understand. But I can't help but wonder why aren't Americans with European ancestry just named "European-Americans", because, well nobody is American American, again, even those are Native-Americans. How nice it would be to just have us named "humans" and that's it.
