In 2014 I dated an italian man — thank God I ended it as there were major red flags everywhere — with whom I've dated and lived together.

That was the first time I saw Friends in Italian. I remember telling him that most of the jokes were lost in translation, and then tried to convince him to watch the original with subtitles. That never worked. But the guy told me he had once voted for "Liga Nord" what else could I be expecting?

In Portugal films are always in the original language, but this is uncommon when compared to the majority of European countries. And, probably you can tell me the same thing happens in the USA ( sorry this is what I think, I don't know it for a fact).
