Portugal fought from 1961 to1974 against our ex colonies and precisely against their independence movements. The war finished when we ended our dictatorship in 1974 on the 25th April. Our ex colonies were Angola Mozambique but also Cape Verde Guinea Bissau and Sao Tome and Principe. That’s why Angola then had a civil war between both independent movements Unita was one the other one I don’t remember honestly
