Stop saying “my body, my choice” when it comes to vaccines!

Yesterday there I was on Instagram sharing yet another post about the importance of getting vaccinated. If someone had told me months ago that people would reject the vaccines against this pandemic, I would have thought they would only be a small insignificant minority. Little did I know, however, that the strange fad of anti-vaxxers would be here to stay.

Olga Khazan’s post, which I had shared, said, “It is the unvaccinated who are putting everyone at risk. They can get sick, they can easily transmit the virus, and they are keeping the pandemic raging.”

Because I couldn’t agree more, there I was, also sharing my own opinion using someone else’s words. Suddenly, I got an emoji laughing at my story. An old colleague soon let me know that he thought this was all a big “scam” for those in power to command better. According to him, separating now the vaccinated from the others who are not is just a strategy to govern better, “divide and rule,” he said.

At least in my country, the government we currently have started ruling even before a pandemic sight. They were elected by the people in a normal democratic country. Moreover, the government’s popularity has been…
