This Never Ending January!

Hello how have you been? How is winter so far treating you? Have you been tired, feeling like the days are too long? Or the opposite?
January is said to be the longest month of the year. I don’t think I’ve ever believed this saying as much as I do now. I don’t know if you are feeling this too, but for me, it seems like New Year’s Eve, that fun night when my husband and I danced the night away, was an eternity ago. The month is almost over, to be sure, but it has been dragging on slowly.
Perhaps insomnia I’ve been having is due to the cold nights or my sudden withdrawal from the tranquilizers I used to take before going to bed. Whatever the reason, the fact is that I’m having bad nights again. Nights when I feel half awake, half asleep, half awake and this week has been a long one when it comes to all this.
The week wasn’t even half over, and I was already feeling worn out. I work from home, alone, perhaps the dream job I had dreamed of a few years ago — it is a case of saying, be careful what you wish for because it can come true. And I live this reality now, having one of the loneliest jobs in the world.
Even though I spend my day talking to people all over the planet, loneliness exists. My students are from everywhere from the United States to China to Australia…
