Well, I did a whole master's degree in pop culture, namely in the power of films. Particularly Spike Lee's films. My whole thesis was on how, through pop culture, cinema revolutionises by transmitting messages that are attainable, perceived and representative of our lives. There were philosophers who argued that cinema, particularly mass culture, was detrimental to our intelligence. But mass culture is not pop culture. In other words, films including Marvel films and all kinds of romantic comedies are part of mass culture, and all the futility that comes with it. That's one thing, I'm talking about something else here. When I talk about beauty, I'm not talking about futility. Quite the opposite. But that would be enough for another article.
