We’re all getting stupider, and Medium doesn’t help.

And it’s not just the younger generations; instant information technology is screwing up our brains.

I will try to be brief. This is how all Medium articles should be,or at least those that want the reader’s attention.

Three minutes is the average read time, say, almost all my stories.

Our attention spam is a misery.

And if tick-tock allows only seconds, Medium is the written version of something similar.

But it’s not just the reading time. It’s also the quality of what we are reading.

Are you still there?

I’ll keep going.

Let’s ask ourselves:

  • When writing begins to be monetized, is there genuine authenticity?
  • When to become famous here, you have to connect with others. Are these pseudo-friendships serious?

Something else to think:

I feel like saying to all beginners in the Medium: if you really want to be a writer, this is not the place.

Why? Because:

  • The texts should be short and easy to digest, like…
