You have an article saying Americans all have ptsd … does this mean you don’t like americans or American culture ?

Is it that so unreal to say that a great part of the American population isn’t a bit self centered and forgets about the rest of the world ?

And I get it USA is such a massive country it’s normal to think about another state almost as we in Europe think about another country .

As for knowledge it’s universal. American studies exists all over the world like I have a friend teaching Portuguese studies in the United States . Learning is not only for obtaining a job but to educate ourselves.

I like literature and I like English and American writers… I have pursued that passion and I wanted to know more about American History and culture . I graduated with a good grade while working at University of Coimbra .

It is the thing I have done that makes me most proud of myself. And again asking what do I need this for is a bit sad .

Why do we need any education then if not to help us grow intellectually and learn about other cultures and ways of life and spread our horizons ? I could go on and on …

It’s confusing to me that the “land of the free” is so castrating about other people’s opinions about their land but at the same time are the first to invade any other place without any hesitation … sorry should I also have not said that?

If you care I wrote an article saying “America I still love you” but why would I love America when I am Portuguese ? Maybe I just need to stick to my rectangle called Portugal … Glad I don’t …
